Shrove Tuesday: Drool-Worthy Pancake Day Ideas

As Shrove Tuesday approaches, you may already be dreaming of the perfect pancake.

Here’s a round-up of the most delicious pancake ideas on Instagram – because who doesn’t love pancakes?

Most importantly, no animals are harmed to make these delectable treats, as these yummy recipes are all vegan!

Five-Ingredient Pancakes

1 cup wholemeal self-raising flour
2 large ripe mashed bananas
Enough almond milk to make the mixture fairly runny
Pinch of cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla essence

  • Mash bananas in a large bowl with a fork.
  • Add remaining ingredients and mix with wooden spoon.
  • Fry pancakes on a low heat with some coconut oil.
  • Top with fruit, chocolate, coconut yoghurt – the possibilities are endless!

In this version, there are banana coins between the layers of pancakes. The toppings are chocolate almond butter sauce, frozen berries, fresh strawberries, passion fruit, buckinis and coconut flakes.

Chocolate Pancakes with Chocolate Mousse

Chocolate pancakes with chocolate mousse. I used lots of fruit: kiwi fruit, nectarine, peaches, cherries and also topped with coconut, a little icing sugar and some seeds. Guys I’m obsessed with this avocado mousse. Sounds weird but SO yummy! Recipe for the chocolate mousse: 1 ripe avocado. 1/4 cup of maple syrup. 1/4 cup of cacao powder. 1 tsp vanilla. 1/3 cup of almond milk. Add this slowly as you may need less! If you want to add some melted chocolate chips! Process it all in a food processor until smooth! Choc-Protein Pancakes

Good morning everyone! Weekend means pancake time 🙂 Recipe: 1/2 Banana • 1/4 cup buckwheat flour (attention: I’m using standard Ikea drinking cups ;)) • 1/2 cup spelt flour • agave syrup • 1/2 cup plant milk (used rice and macadamia, mixed together) • 1 tsp baking soda • 2 tsp @thatprotein brown rice and raw cacao powder → best stuff ever! • add some more raw cacao powder if you like 🙂 ¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤ Guten morgen ihr Lieben!
