GABI GRECKO IS BARING IT ALL – BUT THIS TIME, IT’S FOR A GOOD CAUSE

Cheeky PETA Ad Proclaims, ‘Fur Is for Pussies’

For Immediate Release:

Sydney – Model Gabi Grecko knows a thing or two about turning heads by showing off her body – but now, the controversial glamour model is teaming up with PETA Australia to bare it all for a good cause. Wearing nothing but a flame-coloured hairdo, Grecko stars in a brand-new anti-fur campaign in which she cuddles an adorable kitten next to the words “Fur Is for Pussies”.

“I’m known for stripping down on the fly, but this time, I wanted to do it for a really good cause”, says Grecko. “With PETA’s help, I want to show the world that only a coward would hurt animals by wearing fur.”

As documented by PETA Australia, whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to wear”, almost 74 per cent of the fur imported into Australia comes from China – where animals, including dogs and cats, are bludgeoned and even skinned alive for their fur. And since items are often deliberately mislabelled, consumers have no way of knowing whose skin they’re really buying.

Grecko joins a growing list of celebrities – including Waka Flocka Flame, Dave Navarro, Missy Higgins, Iggy Pop, Ke$ha, The Veronicas, Kid Ink and Natalie Imbruglia – who have teamed up with PETA Australia or its affiliates to speak out against fur.
