The Scenic Rim Regional Council has received plans for a dog-breeding facility at Mount Walker. If approved, 50 dogs will be forced to have litter after litter of “designer” puppies, only for them to be taken away as young as 8 weeks of age to be sold.
More than 3,800 PETA supporters have signed a petition calling for the council to object this horrific proposal.
The petition has been submitted by PETA as a formal objection.
Puppy farms like this contribute to the homeless-animal crisis. Every puppy bred and sold by such facilities takes away a chance at a loving home for a dog in a shelter.
