VICTORY! Designer Sage Sydney Drops Fur

Posted on by PETA Australia

As more consumers become aware of the cruelty involved in killing animals for their fur, Sage Sydney have become the latest Australian retailer to drop fur from their collections, after hearing from thousands of PETA supporters.

Sage Sydney have now stopped stocking any rabbit-fur items – great news for rabbits!

A PETA Asia investigation into three massive fur farms and an abattoir in China found that workers left rabbits to struggle and thrash wildly after smacking them on the head with the back of a knife. They then hung them upside down and slit their throats. Every single fur farm that PETA Asia has visited in China – the world’s top fur exporter – has proved to be exceedingly cruel: investigators have also witnessed and documented that foxes were electrocuted, dogs were bludgeoned to death and raccoon dogs were skinned alive.

Designers across Australia and New Zealand have increasingly been turning their backs on the cruel fur industry. Get the full list of fur- and angora-free designers and retailers here:
Thank you, Sage Sydney, for choosing compassion and sparing the lives of gentle, sensitive rabbits.

Please, never purchase or wear real fur and instead opt for ethical alternatives.
