Help Lolita, the World’s Loneliest Orca

Posted on by PETA Australia

Nearly half a century ago, Lolita was taken from her family in the wild. In the ocean, she would swim up to 160 km per day. But instead, she lives here:

Please help her. Urge the Miami Seaquarium in the US to retire Lolita to an ocean sanctuary in her native waters.

Lolita’s tankmate died by suicide more than 36 years ago by repeatedly ramming his head against the side of the tank that confined him. Lolita hasn’t seen another orca since.

Let’s end Lolita’s isolation in captivity and allow her to live out the remainder of her days in as natural an environment as possible.
