Gather and Feast: Mouthwatering Vegan Meals for Ramadan Celebrations!

Gather and Feast: Mouthwatering Vegan Meals for Ramadan Celebrations!

Living / Gather and Feast: Mouthwatering Vegan Meals for Ramadan Celebrations!

During Ramadan, Muslims around the world fast daily from dawn until sunset. After the sun sets, an iftar meal featuring vegan Ramadan dishes is the most compassionate way to end a fast.

So gather your ingredients and get ready to impress your friends and family with these delightful vegan recipes. Happy Ramadan!

Fattoush Salad

Feeling some fast fattoush? Grab cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, mint, sesame seeds, and lemon juice, and mix them all together. This plant-based recipe is almost too easy.

Vegan Sutlac

If you’re a sucker for cinnamon, you’ll love this Middle Eastern vegan rice pudding.

Chickpea Omelet

This crispy vegan chickpea omelet is filled with broccoli, bell peppers, mushrooms, carrots, and more. You’ll be obsessed in no time.

Stuffed Grape Leaves

You’ll be swooning over these grape leaves stuffed with rice, parsley, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, and garlic.

Green Falafel

Who wouldn’t want to try crunchy green falafel topped with tahini sauce? Fun fact: Most falafel is made with garbanzo beans and is naturally vegan.

Shwarma

These Vegan Chicken Shwarma Wraps are guaranteed to make your friends jealous.

Tabbouleh

Who doesn’t enjoy tabbouleh? This quick Lebanese-style recipe is filled with parsley, green onions, cauliflower, tomatoes, onions, and lemon juice. Try experimenting with your own spices.

Hummus

And last, but certainly not least, a Middle Eastern favorite: hummus. It’s fast and fun to make and goes with just about anything.

We all have the power to help make the world a kinder place and choose non-violence every single day with each decision we make. Even though living vegan is about more than just who we eat, food is the first thing that comes to mind when people discuss veganism.

Regardless of species, every animal feels pain, fear, and joy, but in the food system, they’re trapped in a never-ending cycle of forced breeding and slaughter. Respecting animals as individuals is as simple as leaving them off our plates.

Now that iftar is sorted out, let’s talk about suhoor. Here are some ideas on starting your day the compassionate way:
