Leave a Legacy for Animals: Remember PETA in Your Will
A will is a convenient – and often simple and straightforward – way to distribute assets to those you love. It is also a powerful way to help animals. By naming PETA as a beneficiary, you can be confident that PETA will continue to make a difference for countless animals after you are gone.
You can structure your will to make PETA the beneficiary of your entire estate, a residue of your estate or a specific amount of money or property.
PETA now offers a free will-writing service, making creating a will easier than ever.

Legacy of Compassion
A will is one way you can ensure that your assets will be distributed according to your wishes. Failing to plan properly and express your wishes in a will or other estate document may cause you to lose control of how your estate is to be distributed once you pass away. In addition, without a will, your estate assets will be distributed in accordance with the law, regardless of your intentions. Through a properly tailored will or other estate plan, you have the opportunity to ensure that your compassion continues to make a difference for animals long after you are gone.

Planning for Your Animal Companions
One of the most important aspects of planning is preparing for your animal companions’ future—for the time when you are no longer there to care for them yourself.
You can incorporate important steps into your estate planning to ensure the long-term well-being of your animals and also make their transition to a life without you as stress-free as possible for them.
To help guide you as you prepare for your animal companions’ future, we’ve created an information sheet with items to help you organize and implement a long-term plan.
