‘Australia’s Best Pie’ Is Vegan

If we needed any further proof that 2016 is “the year of vegan”, here it is!

Taking the top spot in the Baking Association of Australia’s annual national competition – and beating 1,700 other entries – a vegan pie from Ka Pies has been crowned “Australia’s Best Pie”.

Not only is the winning pie vegan, it’s also made by Kiwis. This delicious Thai vegetable curry pie is made in a traditional New Zealand style using 100 per cent puff pastry. Filled with tasty Thai curry and made using flavoursome ingredients like lemongrass, the pie also gets a spicy kick from fresh chillies.
